Lucas&Asociados has led the responsibility revolution in Andalusia, having had a long-standing involvement in CSR activities, historically focused on providing pro-bono legal advice.
Lucas&Asociados’s current CSR programme [2020-2025] aims at making a difference in the communities where its professionals and clients work and live, focusing on the provision of access to justice, education and finance, with a combination of pro-bono legal work, hands-on volunteering and financial contributions.
Lucas&Asociados has a long-standing framework agreement in place with ASALER* (Asociación Almeriense de Emigrantes Retornados) by which the firm puts its technical skills and experience at the service of all of its members.
*ASALER is a non-for-profit organisation, founded in 1999, aimed at supporting returned emigrants and their families. It is the largest organisation in Almeria, with over 3,500 members and together with other local and regional charities of its kind it is organised under a national umbrella federation that brings together more than 50,000 members.
Our firm provided key legal advice and support to ASALER in their campaign against the government’s decision to use new data -surfaced after cross-border collaboration with other EU tax authorities- to unfairly enforce a to-this-date non-applied tax regulation, originating an inquisitorial and discriminating prosecution of a collective of more than one million Spanish pensioners returned from a life-long working-exile abroad.

Lucas&Asociados also has a 4-seat GRADUATE PROGRAMME that runs over a period of 2 years. Training goes far beyond acquisition of technical skills, understanding as a priority the development of commercial, soft and language skills of our professionals. These are mentored by the head of the relevant department and are guided to choose the specialism that suits both the firm and the trainee, personally and professionals.
